EFFECTIVENESS MODELS FOR COOLING TOWERS AND COOLING COILS.

Summary

THE PAPER PRESENTS A SIMPLE METHOD FOR MODELLING THE PERFORMAN CE OF COOLING TOWERS AND COOLING COILS. THROUGH THE INTRODUCTION OF AN AIR SATURATION SPECIFIC HEAT, EFFECTIVENESS RELATIONSHIPS ARE DEVELOPED. THE ADVANTAGES OF THIS APPROACH ARE ITS SIMPLICITY, ACCURACY, AND CONSISTENCY WITH THE METHODS FOR ANALYZING SENSIBLE HEAT EXCHANGERS. THE ACCURACY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS MODELS IS AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN THAT ASSOCIATED WITH STANDARD METHODS PRESENTED IN THE LITERATURE.
