EFFECTS OF FLUCTUATIONS ON THE ANISOTROPIC SUPERCONDUCTIVITY OF NEW SUPERCONDUCTORS.

Summary

THE AUTHORS HAVE EVALUATED THE EFFECT OF THE THERMODYNAMIC FLUCTUATIONS, RELATED TO ANISOTROPY, ON THE TRANSITION TEMPERATURE ON NEWSUPERCONDUCTORS. THEY CAN GIVE RISE TO A SIGNIFICANT DECREASE IN THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE, IN RELATION TO THE MEAN FIELD VALUE. THE NEW VALUE OF THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE IS ESSENTIALLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE DENSITY OF CONDUCTION ELECTRONS (OR HOLES) AND TO THE COHERENCE LENGTH.
