Summary

Superconducting multipole wigglers are widely used as generators of synchrotron radiation (SR) at many world synchrotron radiation centres. High reliability and ease of maintenance are the main requirements for such devices installed on an electron accelerator, access to which is restricted during continuous operation of the device. Reliability of such devices is determined by that of the cryogenic system, which should have large service life and small, close to zero, consumption of liquid helium. This report presents the basic properties of the two-stage cryocooler cryogenics of superconducting wigglers operating at many SR centres. The main structural elements, dynamics of cooling, and temperature distribution in the cryostat and magnet elements in working conditions are presented.
