Energetic, economic and environmental viability of absorption air-conditioning systems in Spain.
Author(s) : IZQUIERDO M., RODRÍGUEZ P., LECUONA A., MARTIN E., VEGA M. de
Type of article: Article
Summary
This article compares large- and medium-capacity ammonia/water and water/lithium-bromide absorption systems with mechanical compression systems using HCFC-123, HFC-134A and HCFC-22 refrigerants. The comparison covers the energy efficiency of each system, costs and environmental impact (ozone depletion potential and the direct or indirect global warming potential).
