Energy for autonomous climatization: toward a new breakthrough in electrochemical storage lithium/sulphur battery.
Author(s) : MEHAUTE A. le, BRO P., NIVANEN L., et al.
Summary
It is shown that the energy storage device able to be efficient for specific energy close to 1000 Wh/kg at C/2, is not on shelves. An analysis of advanced technology shows that one of the electro-chemical systems able to reach the technical goal addresses by the challenge of autonomous climatization is the lithium sulphur system. An economical overview on the state of the art is shown, and the technical opportunity for the future breakthrough of lithium batteries is pointed out.
