Summary
A report on a project that was carried out in Switzerland, where retail chilling and freezing makes up 0.8% of the country's energy consumption. Among the measures recommended are: better choice of equipment (where energy consumption can vary by up to 50%), better loading and maintenance (10 to 15% savings). The article gives examples and figures.
