ENGINE-COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE FOR ENGINE-DRIVEN VAPOUR COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : SADAFI H. A.

Summary

THE ARTICLE ANALYZES THE INTERACTION OF THE COMPRESSOR AND OF THE ENGINE WHEN THEY OPERATE AT VARIABLE SPEEDS. A PROCESS IS PROPOSED WHICH AIMS AT MATCHING THESE 2 COMPONENTS. THE MODEL PROPOSED MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO PREDICT THE MAXIMUM OPERATIONAL SPEED WHICH IS ATTAINABLE WHEN THE RESPECTIVE EFFICIENCIES OF THE ENGINE AND OF THE COMPRESSOR ARE AT THEIR MAXIMUM, ACCORDING TO VARIOUS DEMANDS OF THE THERMAL LOAD. THE AUTHOR ALSO PRESENTS A MODEL FOR BALANCING THE ENERGY LOAD, MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE PRIMARY ENERGY RATIO ACCORDING TO THE ENERGY SOURCE AND THE TEMPERATURE REQUIRED.
