Enhancement of heat and mass transfer by constant curvature surface tubes.

Summary

For liquids like aqueous solution of lithium bromide or mixtures of organic liquid used for absorption machines, the boiling point of the film surface varies with the change in concentration by absorption or evaporation of volatile components. They should therefore not be too thin or too thick to get good heat and mass transfer of absorption or evaporation, since the concentration of thr thin film can change quickly while thick film has bad heat conductivity. The CCS (constant curvature surface) tubes were introduced in 1986 to get liquid film with even thickness through surface tension of liquid film, which is proportional to local curvature. CCS tubes have proved to have better heat and mass transfer than nearly any conventional flat or finned tubes by many experiments.
