Author(s) : ARI

Type of monograph: Guide/Handbook

Summary

This how-to guide has been created by ARI and its members to give schools and contractors an easy, step-by-step method for creating a successful HVACR program for students. It is based on ARI's efforts at establishing a pilot HVACR program at Custer High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, and it attempts to provide a case study to be used to ensure the success of local efforts. Specifically, this handbook provides a framework for implementing a local school HVACR program: a multi year, hands-on curriculum in HVACR principles and equipment. It includes a list of whom to involve, a timeline of events, a description of how much square footage for a training facility is required and even metrics for measuring success once the program is in place. Additional contacts and resources will be provided later in this handbook.
