Ethyleenscrubben het geschikst voor Elstar.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Ethylene scrubbing is recommended for the apple cultivar Elstar in ultra-low-oxygen storage provided that the ethylene concentration can be kept below 1%. The additional cost is estimated at 2 cents/kilogramme of fruit for a 2-cell unit with a single scrubber. This could be reduced if one scrubber was used for a greater number of cells (e.g. for an auction market, as opposed to an average fruit grower).
