Summary
The design principle in Net-ZEB considers the local energy infrastructure as virtual storage leading to usually large amount of import and export of energy with the grid. These interactions could have noticeable implications on the overall performance of the energy infrastructure. These implications however could be viewed from perspectives of different stakeholders and at different levels of energy infrastructure and therefore, could have different outcomes. In order to make a consistent analysis at different scales, a cluster of 200 households designed according to Net-ZEB concept is considered. The household loads are generated stochastically in order to reconstruct the realistic load profiles for both HVAC and non-HVAC loads. This paper presents the implication realistic loads in a cluster of these households from perspectives of different stakeholders. The results in general show that a large variation in Net-ZEB balance as well as its interaction with the grid could result due to actual household loads. The results are further investigated showing the influence of Net-ZEB exchange from different stakeholder point of views.
