Author(s) : FABIEN M. J.

Summary

THE PAPER PRESENTS A FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS OF THE FREE-PISTON STIRLING CYCLE COOLER FOR DOMESTIC FOOD PRESERVATION AND AIR CONDITIONING APPLICATIONS. THE FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS INCLUDES LABORATORY TEST RESULTS, ANALYTICAL MODELLING PREDICTIONS, AND OPTIMIZATION STUDIES (TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 100 TO 300K, INPUT POWER RANGE OF 120 TO 250 WATTS). OBSERVED PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS ARE COMPARED WITH THE PREDICTIONS OF SEVERAL STIRLING CYCLE ANALYTICAL MODELS.
