Summary

THE INTENSITY DISTRIBUTION OF INTRINSIC AND IMPURITY LUMINESCENCE AS A FUNCTION OF TIME OF LOW-ENERGY ELECTRON IRRADIATION IS STUDIED IN XENON-KRYPTON SOLID SOLUTIONS. FOR LOW CONCENTRATIONS, A LOW-TEMPERATURE ACCELERATED DIFFUSION OF KRYPTON ATOMS IS FOUND. THIS DIFFUSION IS SHOWN TO BE INDUCED BY FREE MATRIX EXCITONS, AND A POSSIBLE MECHANISM OF THE PROCESS IS SUGGESTED. REARRANGEMENT OF THE SOLUTION STRUCTURE IS TREATED IN TERMS OF THE MODEL OF EXCITATION TRANSFER IN MATRIX. THE EXCITON-INU U THE EFFECT OF CRYSTALLINE IMPERFECTIONS ON THE KINETICS OF DIFFUSION PROCESS IS CONSIDERED.
