Summary

The article presents the main characteristics of a refrigerating plant for vehicles using a Stirling-cycle refrigerating unit. A comparison is made of this cycle with those manufactured by Carrier and Thermo King. Experimental results show the usefulness of Stirling-cycle units in refrigerated vehicles.
