Summary
Devices for cooling high heat fluxes within small available spaces are called spot-evaporators. Areas of application are for example the cooling of cutting tools or high performance motors. The outer diameter of this evaporator is 2 to 5 mm. This paper presents a new kind of simulation model for these evaporators. The simulation results are compared to experimental test within an oil free R-32 circuit. It is shown, that dimensioning of the evaporators within the model is precise enough for practical usage of the spot-evaporators.
