Experimental evaluation of reversible CO2 residential air-conditioning system.

Author(s) : JAKOBSEN A., SKIPLE T., NEKSÅ P., et al.

Summary

A CO2 prototype RAC split unit with an inverter driven compressor has been designed and tested in calorimetric test chambers. A wide range of experimental tests have been performed in the air conditioning mode for calculation of the seasonal cooling performance for two different climates (Athens and Oslo). The results are compared with manufacturer's data for two state-of-the-art reference R-410A Japanese/European type mini-split units. Rating point performances for these two reference units were validated by experiments.
