Summary

This article is the Spanish translation of an article presented at the IIR meeting in Castá Papiernicka, Czech Republic (see Bulletin of the IIR, reference 2007-0668). The throttling loss in a compression refrigeration system may be significantly reduced by means of a two-phase liquid-vapour ejector in the liquid line. This ejector produces the interstage pressure in the system. Therefore, it operates as a booster compressor. The appropriate operation of the ejector requires a special design which is the reason for a clear need for the experimental investigations. The special testing stand along with a measurement system has been presented in the paper. The selected experimental performance results of the two-phase ejector operating with R-123 have been presented. The effect of the geometry of the mixing chamber and the motive nozzle as well as the operating parameters on the efficiency and compression ratio have been showed. The pressure and temperature distributions in ejector for various compression ratios have been also presented in the paper.
