Summary

In the paper, an experiment apparatus has been set up to investigate falling film absorption in an absorber: a key component of an absorption refrigeration system with a new working pair of TFE/NMP (2,2,2-trifluoroethanol/n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) installed on fishing vessels. Experiments have been performed for heat and mass transfer characteristics of falling film absorption in a vacillating vertical tube with TFE/NMP solution under the conditions of different solution volume flow rates, frequencies and amplitudes of vacillation. By processing and analyzing the experimental data, it can be found that ship vacillation has a significant effect on the absorber performance.
