Experimental investigation of heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of flow through spirally fluted tubes.
Author(s) : VIJAYARAGHAVAN SRINIVASAN, CHRISTENSEN R. N.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The study presents a correlation for predicting heat transfer and pressure drop in spirally fluted tubes, especially in the low Reynolds range. Fifteen fluted tubes with geometries representative of current manufacture were experimentally investigated. The database developped was used to develop correlations.
