Summary
THE PAPER PRESENTS THE STEADY CHARACTERISTICS OF AWATER-COOLED LITHIUM-BROMIDE/WATER ABSORPTION CHILLER USED FOR THE SOLAR COOLING SYSTEM. EMPIRICAL EQUATIONS OF THE HEAT TRANSFER RATES FROM THE HOT WATER, COOLING WATER, AND THE CHILLED WATER ARE OBTAINED BY MULTIPLE REGRESSION ANALYSIS. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE HEAT TRANSFER RATES CAN BE CALCULATED BY MAKING USE OF THE CONCENTRATION-ENTHALPY DIAGRAM OF A LITHIUM BROMIDE WATER SOLUTION, IF THE VOLUMETRIC FLOW RATES AND THE INLET TEMPERATURES OF THE HOT WATER, COOLING WATER,AND THE CHILLED WATER ARE GIVEN.
