Experimental research and analysis of the evaporator form of the household freezer.

Author(s) : WANG D., HUANG Y., LI X., et al.

Summary

The evaporator form of the household freezer has the direct relation with the refrigerating effect of the refrigerator, which the refrigerating system engineers care about very much. This article initially determines the heat exchange models between the tube-plate type evaporator and steel wire coil evaporator (wire-on-tube type evaporator) and the air convection through the performance analysis of the tube-plate type evaporator and steel wire coil evaporator. From this, we analyzed and tested the number of the hole rows and the hole pattern for the tube-plate type evaporator, the number of the steel wires and steel wire spacing for the steel wire coil evaporator and the difference between the performances between these evaporators. Both the theory and the experimental results indicate that the steel wire type coil evaporator is better in the actual application. The performance of freezer with the steel wire coil evaporator is much more better than that with the coil tube type evaporator whether in the mean temperature inside the compartment or in cooling efficiency.
