Experimental researches on refrigerating plants using underground cooling source.

Author(s) : HAN H. D., LU S. X.

Summary

In order to settle the problems perplexed by energy consumption, noise and land subsidence in the refrigeration and air conditioning system, the paper puts forward a new refrigerating technology by using circulating cooling pool water as cooling medium, and groundwater and soil as cooling source. The heat transfer characteristics of the underground cooling pool are analyzed and numerical model is given. The experimental results show that the refrigeration using the underground cooling source applies well in all kinds of environmental conditions.
