EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON CHARACTERISTICS OF A TWO-STAGE ABSORPTION HEAT TRANSFORMER.

Author(s) : YUMIKURA T.

Summary

THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IMPROVED HEAT TRANSFORMER USING LITHIUM BROMIDE AND WATER AS WORKING FLUIDS, AND WHICH CAN BOOST THE WASTE HEAT TEMPERATURE BY APPROXIMATELY 60 K AND PROVIDE MORE THAN 423 K (150 DEG C) OUTPUT STEAM FROM WASTE HEAT OF 363 K (90 DEG C). THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF THE OUTPUT IN STEADY STATE WERE COMPARED WITH THE RESULTS CALCULATED BY THE COMPUTER SYSTEM SIMULATION. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AGREED WELLWITH THE CALCULATED RESULTS.
