Summary
Because of environmental issues caused by CFC, HCFC or HFC refrigerants, new alternative refrigerants have attracted a lot of attention. The paper presents experimental information on heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop during evaporation process of CO2-propane mixtures in a horizontal smooth tube. The differences of measured heat transfer characteristics of this mixture were analysed for various compositions.
