Experimental study about heat and mass transfer during absorption of water by an aqueous lithium bromide solution.

Summary

The aim of the paper is the experimental study of the fundamental processes of heat and mass transfer during the absorption of water vapour onto a falling film of aqueous lithium bromide flowing over horizontal rows of smooth copper tubes. A simple theoretical model, used in the literature, for single tubes, has been adapted to the whole absorber and the results compared. It has been concluded that there is a need to include a parameter for the effecive tube length for each tube.
