Summary
Describes testing of the performance of a glazed solar collector/regenerator for an open-cycle absorption solar cooling system using aqueous lithium chloride solution as the working fluid. The testing was carried out in Taiwan, under a humid climate. Presents the results, which indicate that the peak system efficiency is 15.2% and the day-average efficiency is 14.1%. Studies the effects of parameters on the collector/regenerator performance and gives the non-dimensional correlations for heat and mass transfer.
