Summary
The loop consists of two parallel cylindrical evaporators with isolators, one condenser, one reservoir for the control loop temperature and pressure, two adiabatic pipes (one for liquid and one for vapour). The main design characteristic of evaporator is an axially grooved profile with a polyethylene wick. Experimental performances which have already been obtained are 2000 pascals for the capillary pumped pressure with a 10-micrometer porous wick and 600 watts transported along an equivalent distance of 23 m.
