Summary
In addition to the water and acid adsorbing properties of filter driers, there have been added demands for new properties, such as dirt filtration and compatibility with HFC refrigerants and polyolester oils, including several additives. These problems are discussed in the article, along with the importance of correct dimensioning of the filter drier, and illustrations of the different capacity statements that exist for filter driers.
