REPORTS A FACILITY FOR STUDYING HEAT TRANSFER IN EQUIPMENT CONTAINING REFRIGERANTS IS BEING CONSTRUCTED AT THE NATIONAL ENGINEERING LABORATORY AND WILL BE USED IN THE SELECTION OF REPLACEMENTS FOR CFCS. NOTES A PLANNED PROGRAMME OF RESEARCH INTO EVAPORATION BOTH INSIDE AND ON THE OUTSIDE OF TUBES USING REFRIGERANTS DOWN TO 243 K (-30 DEG C) OR LOWER.
