Summary

In the study, a composite system made of multiple porous block structure used for flow and heat transfer control is analyzed, along with the changes in the flow pattern and heat transfer characteristics due to the existence of the multiple porous block structure. A general flow model that accounts for the effects of the impermeable boundary and inertial effects is used to describe the flow inside the porous region. The effects of several governing dimensionless parameters, such as the Darcy number, Reynolds number, Prandtl number, the inertia parameter, as well as the effects of pertinent geometric parameters, are thoroughly explored.
