Heat transfer between a fluid-saturated porous medium and a permeable wall with fluid injection or withdrawal.

Type of article: Article
Summary
To assess the effect of wall suction or injection on sensible heat transfer, a stagnant film model was developed. The model yields a thermal correction factor accounting for the effect of wall transpiration on heat transfer. The predictions of the film model were compared and found to be in good agreement with corresponding results obtained with the boundary layer model.
