Fourth German government decree (4. BImSchV) on implementing the federal law on emission protection (BImSchG).

Summary

This decree states that the BImSchG applies to refrigerating plants containing more than 3 tonnes of ammonia, but makes a distinction between plants with capacities of 3 to 30 tonnes and those with more than 30 tonnes. There is a simplified authorization procedure for the first category. The decree came into effect on July 1, 1993.
