Summary

From now on, only the quantities of ammonia present in plant will govern the type of declaration or permit required within the framework of legislation on categories of plant. Plant with a charge of over 1.5 tonnes requires a permit and is governed by the Decree dated 16/07/97 concerning refrigerating plant using ammonia. Where plant contains 150 kg to 1.5 tonnes of ammonia, a declaration must be made and the Decree dated 23/02/98 and its Appendices I and II apply to this type of plant.
