Summary
Very cold inlet air passing through heat exchanger plates will cause frost on the face which is exposed to humid exhaust air. There are 5 methods of defrosting the plates. These methods are analysed for 8 different climates, and show comparative losses in overall efficiency and heat recovered. A.R.T.
