FREEZE-DRYING IN AN ADSORBING FLUIDIZED BED: OPTIMIZATION AND APPLICATIONS.

LA LYOPHILISATION EN LIT FLUIDISE D'ADSORBANT : OPTIMISATION ET APPLICATIONS.

Author(s) : WOLFF E., GIBERT H.

Summary

THIS RESEARCH WORK DEALS WITH A NEW PROCESS FOR FREEZE-DRYING IN FLUIDIZED ABSORBING BED. THIS PROCESS CAN EVEN WORK AT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. THE FEASIBILITY OF THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED. A SIMULATION MODEL HAS BEEN COMPUTED TO DESCRIBE THE DRYING KINETICS. THIS MODEL WAS USED TO OPTIMISE A FEW OPERATING PARAMETERS. SOME NEW IDEAS TO IMPROVE THE PROCESS AND SOME APPLICATIONS ARE CITED.
