Summary

The article reviews the recent import of specialist French products into the United Kingdom, which are aimed at the top end of the market. These include bakery products, snacks (vegetable and fish), viennoiserie in particular croissants. The import of "sous vide" products is discussed at length, and finally the import of speciality breads which are frozen, part baked and have a shelf life of 3 days once defrosted.
