Frosting quality and analysis on fin efficiency functions of heat exchanger surface.

Author(s) : ZANG R. Q., ZHA S. T., LAI J. B., et al.

Summary

The paper analyzes frosting quality of a heat exchanger surface and the effect on performance of it during frosting. From the comparison of some fin efficiency functions, shortages have been pointed out. On the basis of linearization of enthalpy of saturation humid air, a more reasonable fin efficiency function is developed. The result shows that the fin efficiency is independent on air relative humidity in certain temperature range.
