THE DEVELOPMENT OF FROZEN FOOD CONSUMPTIONWAS SIGNIFICANT IN 1985 ALL OVER EUROPE. IN ITALY THERE WAS ABOUT AN 8% INCREASE IN PER CAPITA CONSUMPTION OF ABOUT 4.6 KG. AMONGST FROZEN FOODS, THE PREDOMINANT POSITION OF VEGETABLES IMPROVED (MORE THAN 52% OF OVERALL CONSUMPTION). THE HIGHEST INCREASE INVOLVED SPINACH, GREEN BEANS, MINESTRONE, BUT ALSO BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER. A. M.
