THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IMPORTS OF THESE FOODS IN FRANCE IN 1982 IS CONFIRMED BY A TABLE, GIVING THEIR DISTRIBUTION BY CATEGORY (WHOLE FISH, FILLETS, BREADED FISH, SHELLFISH, PRECOOKED FOOD), I.E. 54% OF THE MARKET. THE APPARENT MARKET, BY CATEGORIES OF PRODUCTS, REACHED 171,000 T, EXCLUDING 26,000 T OF FISH SLABS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BREADED FISH, GIVING THUS A TOTAL OF 145,000 T. FOR THE TOTAL OF PRODUCTS, THE MARKET INCREASED BY 3% PER YEAR BETWEEN 1978 AND 1982. THE FUTURE TRENDS SEEM FAVOURABLE. G.G.
