Author(s) : SCRINE G. R.

Summary

SRCRA FURTHERED ITS RESEARCH ON THE AGING OF CONTAINERS INSULATED WITHEXPANDED POLYURETHANE. AVERAGE AGING WAS 3% PER YEAR OVER 13 YEARS. A SINGLE RESULT IS GIVEN FOR THE SAME CONTAINER OVER 11 YEARS. THE AUTHOR MEASURED THE LOCAL K VALUES AND THE RESULTS ARE GIVEN FOR WALLS, ROOFS AND FLOORS. HE CONCLUDES THAT AGING IS DUE TO THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF CONTAINER STRUCTURE, ITS HANDLING DURING USE, TEMPERATURE AND TIME.
