Gas absorption heat pump performance measurement: comparative analysis of norms, discrepancies, implications and possible amendments.

Author(s) : AINARDI E.

Summary

The study reviews the existing norms on performance measurement of gas absorption heat pumps at a worldwide level to highlight the discrepancies between existing norms for gas absorption equipment and other norms associated with the energy efficiency and renewable energy use. In addition, a comparison with the norms dealing with performance measurement of electrical heat pumps are provided to highlight the key element of difference and the possible discrepancies in the way performance data are extracted.
