Summary
An experimental testing study verified the amount of epichlorhydrine vapour on the character of ice accretion during toluene freezing out from the nitrogen/toluene/water vapour mixture. A toluene freezing out spiral wound heat exchanger with glass shell was installed into the testing line. Forms of the ice accretions were observed optically. Epichlorhydrine impurities changed character and density of the ice accretion.
