Gas-phase PVT properties for propane measured by the Burnett apparatus.

Summary

In the study, the authors aimed to measure the systematic sets of the vapour pressures and the gas-phase PVT properties for propane by using a Burnett apparatus. They obtained 7 vapour pressures in the range of temperatures 300-360 K and pressures up to 3.6 MPa, and 58 gas-phase PVT measurements in a wide range of temperatures 300-380 K, at pressures up to 5.1 MPa and at densities beyond the critical density, respectively. Based on these measurements, a thermodynamic model including the vapour-pressure correlation and the truncated virial equation of state has also been developed.
