Summary

The objective of this research was to estimate the components of variance and heritability relating to reducing sugars content and dry matter, and their correlations with some agronomic traits of potato (Solanum tuberosum). Forty potato clones chosen randomly were used. Sugar and dry matter contents were analysed after storing tubers in a cold chamber (5 plus or minus 1 °C). The reducing sugar content was positively and significantly correlated with most of the agronomic traits and negatively correlated with dry mater content.
