GEOTHERMAL DOMESTIC HEATING SYSTEM WITH HEAT PUMPS.

LE CHAUFFAGE GEOTHERMIQUE DES LOCAUX AVEC POMPES A CHALEUR.

Author(s) : LAURENT R., JAUD P.

Summary

THE DESIGN OF THE GEOTHERMAL HEATING SYSTEM AT CREIL IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GEOTHERMAL INSTALLATIONS. ITS ORIGINALITY IS THAT THREE HEAT PUMPS ARE USED IN SERIES WITH THE HEAT EXCHANGERS, IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE THE HEAT EXTRACTION FROM THE GEOTHERMAL WATER. MEASUREMENTS DURING AN ENTIRE SEASON OF HEATING HAVE GIVEN AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE OPTIMUM CONTROL STRATEGY OF THE INSTALLATION AND HAVE ALLOWED THE THERMAL AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF THE SYSTEM TO BE ESTABLISHED. THIS STUDY SHOWS THAT THE GEOTHERMAL HEATING SYSTEM OF CREIL ALLOWED ENERGY SAVING WITHOUT INCREASING THE COST OF HEATING.
