Summary
The two most widespread types of heat pumps are outdoor-air heat pumps and groundwater or district water heat pumps. A less well-known type is emerging: geothermal heat pumps. They use horizontal or vertical sensors to recover heat from the ground and are efficient, economic and environmentally friendly.
