Global warming: the underlying science and the possible response.

Author(s) : HOUGHTON J.

Summary

Substantial progress is being made in our understanding of the science of climate change which is likely to result from the increase in greenhouse gases due to human activities, although large uncertainties remain concerning the magnitude, timing and impact of such climate change. A large challenge and opportunity exists for governments and for industry to set targets for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions next century.
