Ground/ground thermodynamic systems: underfloor heating.

Systèmes thermodynamiques sol/sol : plancher chauffant.

Author(s) : CoSTIC

Type of monograph: Guide/Handbook

Summary

This is one of 4 reports by AFF "Heat pump" Commission (see also IIR Bulletin, ref. 98-2610 and this Bulletin, ref. 99-1310 to 99-1312) on a study performed for EDF by CoSTIC. Each report is structured along the same lines and provides technical rules and practical advice on implementation. This report focuses on ground/ground heat-pump systems with heat outputs of under 50 kilowatts, designed for use in single-family houses. The system involves the use of either underfloor heating alone, or reversible underfloor heating/cooling. The report is based on existing regulations and will be updated whenever new regulations are published. Summary: description of systems; heat pumps (standardization and regulations, sizing, heat and acoustic performance, installation, safety); ground sources; hydraulic network; floor; control; implementation; maintenance. The appendix contains the following: a list of standards and draft standards as well as a test protocol defined by CETIAT.
