Glycolated water/water thermodynamic systems: underfloor heating or underfloor heating-cooling.

Systèmes thermodynamiques eau glycolée/eau : plancher chauffant ou plancher chauffant-rafraîchissant.

Author(s) : CoSTIC

Type of monograph: Guide/Handbook

Summary

This is one of 4 reports by AFF "Heat pump" Commission (see also IIR Bulletin, ref. 98-2610 and this Bulletin, ref. 99-1310, 99-1312 and 99-1313) on a study performed for EDF by CoSTIC. Each report is structured along the same lines and provides technical rules and practical advice on implementation. This report focuses on glycol-water/water heat-pump systems with heat outputs of under 50 kilowatts, designed for use in single-family houses. The system involves the use of either underfloor heating alone, or reversible underfloor heating/cooling. The report is based on existing regulations and will be updated whenever new regulations are published. Summary: description of systems; heat pumps (standardization and regulations, sizing, heat and acoustic performance, installation, safety); ground sources; hydraulic network; floor; control; putting into operation; maintenance. The appendix contains the following: a list of standards and draft standards; a description of types of underfloor heating structures described in EN 1264, the new European standard.
