AIMS TO PRESENT A CLEARER DESCRIPTION OF THE CAUSES OF SICK BUILDING SYNDROME. STATES IT APPEARS THAT IN OFFICES WITH EXTENSIVE HVAC SYSTEMS AND NON-OPENABLE WINDOWS (LARGELY DUE TO INCORRECT DESIGN) THE PREVALENCE OF HEALTH COMPLAINTS IS HIGH. MAINTAINS THAT THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLAINTS IS INADEQUATE MAINTENANCE OF THE SYSTEMS AND THE INCORRECT DESIGN OF SOME HVAC SYSTEMS.
